Vaticore forecasts energy use at operators' sites (telecom towers, bank branches, factories, hospitals, mini-grids) and sends their teams a daily plan. This page explains what personal data that involves, why, and your rights. It is short on purpose.
Who we are
Vaticore Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17501412, registered office 85 Grafton Street, Hull, HU5 2NP, United Kingdom. Contact: [email protected].
When we send plans to an operator's staff, we act on behalf of that operator, who decides who receives them. For the website and our own business contacts, we decide.
If you receive Vaticore plans
| What we hold | Your name and role, your WhatsApp number and/or email, which sites you cover, your preferred language, your replies to plans (1, 2, the reason you give, STOP), and when messages were delivered and read. |
|---|---|
| Why | To send you daily plans and, if you supervise sites, a weekly summary; to know whether plans were followed and why; to stop messages when you ask; and to measure the pilot's results for your employer. |
| On what basis | Your agreement, which you gave before the first message, and which you can withdraw at any time. |
| How long | For the pilot or service, then 12 months for verifying its results, then deleted. |
To stop the messages, reply STOP. It takes effect at once, on WhatsApp and email.
Operators' site data
Energy readings from sites (load, solar, grid supply, generator output, fuel) belong to the operator. They are generally not personal data. We use them to make forecasts and plans for that operator, and, with names and site identities removed, to improve our models.
Who else handles the data
| Company | For | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Render | Hosting the service and its database | Frankfurt, Germany |
| Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) | Delivering WhatsApp messages and replies | EU and US |
| Brevo | Delivering email | EU |
| Sentry | Error reports, which exclude message content and phone numbers | US |
| Cloudflare | This website and our email routing | Global network |
We never sell personal data or use it for advertising.
How we protect it
- Encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Databases reachable only from our own services, not the internet.
- Phone numbers stored for matching replies only in a one-way protected form, and shown masked (+234******5678) in reports.
- Each operator has its own access keys and can never see another operator's data.
- Daily backups, with restores tested every week.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to [email protected]. We answer within a week. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng) or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
